Accommodations
In the Demoiselle
Room the morning sun sheds soft southeastern light into this
spacious room, furnished with antiques—Eastlake bedroom set with
homemade quilt, loveseat, sewing cabinet, a child’s desk, and a drop
leaf writing table. The bed is an antique double; the bathroom is
directly across the hall. The tin ceiling and Victorian “young miss”
décor are gentle reminders of days gone by. "In a recent note to Sandy, I told her that if travelers couldn't be happy in her B&B, they wouldn't be happy any where. Please note on the evaluation card this couple and this "B&B" get top ranking in our book. I will enthusiastically recommend Sandy and Ken and Dempster Woods to anyone who has a chance to stay in Geneva, Nebraska. ~ Dorothy and Paul Swanson

Awaken to the rainbow hues of a stained glass window in Rainbow’s
End! This room has southern and western exposures, a queen-size
sleigh bed with a homemade quilt reflecting the window colors, an
antique armoire, and a private whirlpool bath. The bathroom, accessible
from the room and from the hall, has a seven foot window and a corner

Yours was our forty-ninth B & B scattered over 12 states and twelfth in Nebraska. We are always concerned that most visitors to B & B's do not take the time to appreciate all the effort and cost that has gone into the development and maintenance of a fine B & B. As I mentioned, we have developed a rating system which helps us when recommending B & B's to our friends. In the rating process we go over our stay and try to identify the strong points of a given B & B. It occurs to me that sharing these lists with our hosts and hostesses might be a good way of showing them our appreciation of their efforts. So I am sending you our list for your use. I should say that our analysis gave Dempster Woods our highest rating, 5+, achieved by only two other Nebraska B & B's and only ten out of the other 49. In short we really liked it! Alice’s Window-on-the-Woods is the only room in the inn with a
view of the woods. An antique youth bed, an antique iron twin bed, and a
child’s dresser share this cozy room with bears, bunnies, birds,
and butterflies. This whimsical hideaway is used mostly for children
traveling with their parents and adults who are part of a large family
group or desire to feel young again.
Rate: flexible, depending on circumstances. Group Rate $150 - $185 for 3-4 Rooms Extended
